CB Counseling is pleased to contract with Lori Moskel, LCSW at our practice.

Hello, my name is Lori Moskel, and I’d like to give you some information about me:

I received both my undergraduate (1996) and graduate(2007) degree from Marywood University in Social Work.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  I have been in practice for 20 years and have worked with individuals, families, and in community settings. I am so pleased to join and contract with CB Counseling LLC as I know I am joining with a team of excellent Clinicians.  This makes an incredible difference for a therapist, it meansfunctioning with the highest level of support, being part of a mission of like-minded people to serve others and do so with multiple levels of expertise available.

My personal philosophy is the belief and confidence in a person’s ability to transform and change any situation no matter how challenging.  I have that philosophy because I have seen in happen repeatedly in my last 20 years of practice.

The utilization of well-researched evidence-basedpractices as well as applying a practical approach to care best describes my practice style. My areas of interest are anxiety, depression, trauma, intrusive thinking, and any type of life changing set of circumstances that seem so unsolvable such as: end of a relationship, loss of job, estranged from family, dealing with narcissistic abuse, etc.  Some of the treatment methods utilized are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based, Person-Centered, Trauma Informed Care Models, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).  Generally, a blend of many treatment approaches are utilized in combination tailored to a person’s needs.

A safe trusting partnership between the person seeking care and therapist is priority and the most needed ingredient.  I deeply understand the importance of the personality match in the therapeutic relationship and take the time to insure there is a comfortable fit.  I hope this informational “bio” helps you to make the important decision, the act of care for yourself.

LORI MOSKEL, LCSW
